The have multiple business names under which they operate. Clearwater, FJB Accociates, FJB remodelling, etc.
I wonder why it is that they need to have so many business names registered. They had an F rating in a state they did business initially. Just google their scams.
They say that they have tie up with manufacturers. This is not true as they protect themselves first from any claims or liability. Just read their contract. It basically bars the customer to go to court. They charge 30% of legal fees (who decides how much a attorney charges ?), they have 30 days to cancel the contract and the customer has only 3 days.
They will come after you if their contract is not cancelled in the 3 days limit. I had to listen to rude comments from this company on the phone when I called to cancel my contract.
What other company has no working email or fax listed on their website? Clearwater and FJB associates does :-)
They are a scam. An honest contractor will do the same job for 35% of their price. Buyer beware of FJB Associates and Clearwater. They lie to get your business. DO NOT SIGN CONTRACT. ASK FOR AN OFFER and take you time to decide. They will give you a 'today only price' which is a scam too. My initial price was $8900 and then they came down to $3550 when I cancelled. Even at that price the other established contractors were cheaper. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.
Pros: Good Product.
Cons: Pressure pitching, overpriced.
