Review content:
A little pricey, but excellent care. I went there fearing the worst after a different dentist put in an expensive and deep filling in my far rear lower left molar too close to the nerve and left me in intense pain. Dr. John Smith evaluated my tooth and determined it probably should have had a root canal to begin with and that it would probably continue to cause increasing amounts of pain as the nerve died. I agreed. A little more than an hour later the root canal was done. It was a nearly painless experience. My only complaint -- I still have to follow up with my normal dentist to have the temporary filling replaced with a permanent crown. I grew up seeing a wonderful dentist in Florida who did everything himself and never disappointed me in 30 years. Nowadays, many dentists won't do root canals -- they send you to a specialist like Dr. Smith who does the root canal and then you go back to your normal dentist for the permanent crown. So that's the only reason I'm giving 4.5 instead of 5 stars -- I would have liked to get it all taken care of in a single visit to a single office like I used to in Florida, but I have no doubt that Dr. Smith did an excellent job and I would recommend Southern AZ Endodontics to anyone worried about getting a root canal or who isn't sure if they need one.
