This weekend I visited a long time Bend favorite called the Deschutes Brewery, or what the locals fondly call "The Brewery" for short. Sadly, it had been several months since I have visited this wonderful establishment, but my taste buds remembered this place as soon as I walked in the door.
I have had the luxury of sampling many of the items on the menu, and you really can't go wrong when ordering the specials. However, my favorite is the brewery burger. This mouth watering burger comes with a generous order of "house fires" which are very large rounds of sliced/deep fried potatoes. They are so YUMMY! The burger is huge, juicy, and made with what seems to be an excellent grade of burger.
If I ever have friends or family come to town, this is THE PLACE to take them. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, and the service is wonderful. The servers always have a smile on their face.
Try them out sometime...it will be money well spent.
