I hired Merry Minstrel months before my daughters 3rd birthday and paid the deposit and all for the princess package. I called numerous times before the party to confirm and they were never in the office...always some kind of family emergency. She assured me they had everything and all would be taken care of. The day of the party, 1 hour before designated time of arrival, I get a phone call informing me that the princess quit. (which ironically she is still being advertised on their website). Here I was with 10 3- year olds dressed in their princess costumes with no princess. I was absolutley devistated. I asked about back up plans or what they could do and all she could tell me is they didn't have anything and she was sorry but there was nothing they could do. After much arguing and stress..we ended up with a clown that came and did a great show and she was sweet as she could be, but as for the company...FORGET IT. Who operates a party business with no back up plans. What if the princess was sick or something else came up..what the party just gets ruined. Makes no sense to me. Then, the real kicker...she still charged me full prices for the clown. They didn't even eat the cost of that. I had 70 guests at the party, some of which used this company previously and others that were planning to use them in the future and all have agreed we would NEVER use or recommend this company to ANYONE...well, maybe to my ex husband.
