AS AN AVID FAN OF INDIAN FOOD, I'VE GOT TO SAY THAT THE AMBASSADOR OF INDIA IS BY FAR THE BEST INDIAN FOOD I HAVE EATEN. I HAVE LIVED AND WORKED IN LOS ANGELES AND NEW YORK CITY AND HAVE EATEN INDIAN FOOD IN BOTH PLACES, AND I CAN CLEARLY SAY THAT THE AMBASSADOR IS AS GOOD OR BETTER THEN BOTH CITIES. ON MY RECENT VISIT TO THE NEW AMBASSADOR IN HARTFORD, I WAS PLEASED TO SEE THAT THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HARTFORD AND GLASTONBURY WAS THE LIVELYNESS OF THE PLACE. THE FOOD STANDARDS WERE NOT CHANGED AY ALL. MY CURRIED VINDALOO WAS SPOT ON, THE MURG PASANDA WAS MELT IN YOUR MOUTH TENDER, AND FLAVORED WITH THE PROMISED CASHEW NUT CREAMYNESS.WE ORDERED THE BREAD BASKET AND THE POORIES.(THE LATTER CAN SOMETIMES BE A LITTLE OILY BUT NOT HERE THEY WERE PERFECT) THE DAL TADKA ARE MY FAVORITE TYPE OF LENTILS AND THEY WERE SPICED JUST RIGHT. PLENTY OF THE MOST FLAVORFUL BASMATI RICE WAS AVAILABLE. TO START WE HAD THE SAMOSAS BUT WE ASKED IF THEY WOULD MAKE THEM PAPRI CHAT AND WITHOUT HESITATION THERE THEY WERE.JUST LIKE THE ONES I REMEMBERED HAVING IN TORONTO. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE, AND MY WIFE AND I EAT THERE AND IN GLASTONBURY, AT LEAST 2 TIMES A WEEK. AND OH BY THE WAY THEY ARE KID FRIENDLY AT THE RESTAURANT TOO. ASK FOR DINO IN GLASTONBURY HE IS THE BEST WAITER IN "ANY " RESTAURANT. Pros: THE FOOD SERVICE AND THE STAFF ARE PERFECT Cons: THAT I CAN'T EAT THERE EVERYDAY
