I received a massage and pedicure here as a gift. (A very expensive gift, too.) When I was late for my appointment (couldn't find the place), the older lady at the front desk said I had to forfeit the pedicure and could not reschedule. We're talking $60.00. The place was EMPTY and there were 3 of them standing up front. I couldn't believe it. I was a new customer, and I was embarrassed and apologetic, and she was RUDE. This put me in a horrible mood and my massage was horrible, too. Total gift over $120 was a waste of money. Granted, I should not have been late, but I am the customer and I shouldn't have been made to pay for missing an appointment at an empty salon. I don't think I kept another appointment from happening. I only got 30 minutes of a 60 minute massage, and the pedicure never even happened. Bad business. I had to prepare for 3 hours the night before to leave my job in the middle of the day for the appointment. I gave up one of 2 personal days I get in a year. I was late, but they should have worked with me. I love Aveda and would have come back (the gift was from my husband), but I will never go there again. Humiliating and Horrible experience.
