Review content:
My grandparents took their westie here and she came back looking great, but cut a little short. So, I thought I'd give them a try for my schnauzer puppy's first professional grooming at 6 months old. I had kept up with her grooming fairly well, but she had some rawhide stuck in her whiskers and some in her paws from that morning. When I left her, the groomer and I agreed she would get a standard schnauzer cut (shaved back and head, with whiskers, eyebrows, and a skirt left long) for $30. When I picked her up, I didn't even recognize her! She had shaved her almost completely bald- all over! She had been black when I brought her in and now she was virtually pink. The only hair she left was on her chin and that hair still had rawhide stuck in it, as if she didn't bathe her. She charged me an extra $5 for "dematting". She hadn't been matted! A bath would have taken out the rawhide. I was dumbstruck and didn't know what to say. I just paid and took my poor "nakey" (as my 2 year old said) dog home. In retrospect, I should have refused to pay full price.
