Review content:
This is a pretty new location and, since discovering it about two months ago, we've eaten at or carried out from Capozzi's at least five times. Each time the food was excellent. The wine selection is a bit limited right now, but we're told it will be expanding. As for service, we have never had a problem --- even when we've been there with kids. To the contrary, we have really enjoyed the friendly, down to earth staff and especially the owner - who makes you feel like he's entertaining you in his own home. The atmosphere is informal and very comfortable. As a native New Yorker, this place feels very much like home. The chicken francese is to die for. The chicken cutlet parmigiana is nice and thin and lightly breaded-- not like some of the very thick and unbreaded "chicken parmesan" that gets passed off in other restaurants. The pizza is also very good, right firmness and crispness to the crust and appropriate amount of cheese (not the gooey crust or disproportionately heavy amount of cheese that you will sometimes get in other places ). The tomato sauce is authentic - great weight and consistency, with just the right amount of sweetness. I would highly recommend this as a place to try, that has a high likelihood of becoming a regular haunt for many.
Pros: Great food, comfortable and authentic ambience
Cons: We didn't have any
