Review content:
I am an experienced spa-goer and was excited to try this spa when I received a promotional coupon. The website led me to believe this would be a top notch experience in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Whenever trying a new spa, I always have a pedicure. That one treatment tells me all I need to know about the facility and whether or not it is worthy of future patronage. When scheduling my appointment via phone, I was treated somewhat coldly and as an inconvenience. Since anyone can have bad day, I did not let that dampen my enthusiasm. However, when checking in at the desk, I was treated as I had been on the phone: rudely. When escorted to the pedicure room up a flight of narrow stairs, I was disappointed to find myself ensconced in a humid, windowless room with no air-flow. The nail technician was very pleasant, but the pedicure itself ended 10 minutes early (I had paid for the 50 minute Spa Pedicure). Furthermore, my treatment was interrupted so my pedicurist could place her lunch order, making it clear I had overstayed my non-welcome. Also, for the first time in my spa-going experience, I did not receive a foot and leg message with my pedicure. Checking out was a painfully long and inefficient process: with a number of the staff busy with the details of their lunch orders, there was only one person handling check-ins, check-outs and retail purchases - and I was again reminded what a total inconvenience I was as a customer. Thus, my quest continues for a fabulous spa I don't have to fly to ;)
