After dinner last night, our kitchen sink drain/ disposal clogged. As an "all-thumbs" handyman, I tried plunging and then, attempted to clear the drain trap while my wife stood with the phonebook and the Roto-Rooter number. At 7:30, after a fruitless hour of being the inept home handyman, I called the number. The person answering the phone was very cordial, took all of my info down and told me that a tech would call me in the 8pm -10pm window. He would give me a half hour heads up that he was enroute.
At exactly 8pm, the phone rang and I was told that my tech was enroute. Like clockwork, he arrived at 8:30pm.
A very polite gentleman named Jim (tech #1876) came to the door, introduced himself, and checked out my problem. He diagnosed the issue as a soap or grease buildup that had clogged the pipe that fed into the main drain line. He then broke the extra bad news that the company charge to fix this was $359.00. However, he informed me that I could download a $40 coupon from the company website to help soften the blow.
Jim's service and knowledge were excellent. He cleared up the problem, cleaned up the area where he used his equipment and was finished in about 2hours.
This was the best experience that I've had over the years with this company. If only the price was a little more reasonable....
