VERY UNORGANIZED!!! We chose Ron Cowan with Sweetwater Entertainment as our wedding DJ for our ceremony and reception. We met with him a week before the wedding (we flew in from Florida) and he seemed to know his stuff. I gave him a complete 3 page list of songs that I wanted played at the reception. On that list I also clearly marked the songs I wanted played for the ceremony (processional and recessional). I also clearly marked what songs I wanted for all of the special dances (first dance, anniversary dance, bouquet toss, etc). He seemed very organized and wrote all of these special dance songs down on a separate piece of paper of his own as well. On the day of the wedding: 1. He showed up late. 2. When the officiant pronounced us man and wife, he not only forgot to start playing the recessional music, when he finally started it...it was the WRONG SONG! 3. At the reception, when we talked to him to make sure that he had all the other songs right, he had to write them all down again because he did not have the paperwork with him. He tried to tell us that he did not remember discussing those with us. 4. He still played the wrong song for the anniversary dance. 5. He announced the bouquet toss without me being ready...I had to go run and find my bouquet. 6. He played maybe 10 songs on my 3 page list. 7. Eventually one of my guests went over there and started picking songs for him. 8. Most of the time he was just standing back, talking on his phone. Now, for the 1st half of the wedding, I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because he really was a nice guy and was very reasonably priced. In the end, though, he was completely incompetent and not prepared to DJ a wedding! I don't know what happened between our meeting a week before the event, where he seemed to have everything together, and the actual event! Either way, you get what you pay for! GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE OR BE PREPARED FOR A LOT OF UNWANTED SURPRISES DURING THE WEDDING!!!!
