Review content:
The Tivoli Theater in downtown Chattanooga is home of the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra and Opera, as well as host to a variety of concerts and live events throughout the year. It is a spectacular setting.
The theater is a beautifully ornate structure with seating on the balcony as well as the main floor, and box seating on either side. It has a dome shaped ceiling, and some of the most exquisite crown molding and crystal chandeliers of any theater I've ever seen.
The acoustics are also excellent, and although it is not nearly as large as the historic Fox Theater in Atlanta, it rivals the Fox in atmosphere and beauty, and provides a more intimate setting. Free parking is available for concert in the adjacent parking lot.
It's worth a trip to the theater just to see the exquisite decor. This 75 year old structure is like a visit to a by gone era, and offers an elegant setting for any live event.
