Businiess name:  Shear Madness
Review by:  Barbara S.
Review content:
First the positive - Shear Madness is a friendly and lively place. They do color really well and their prices ($37 for a cut and blow dry) are pretty standard for the area, in my opinion. On the downside, the quality of work isn't very consistent. Due to various circumstances on the part of the stylists, I've had to change stylists a lot. Recently I got a very uninspired cut - the stylist just didn't know what to do with my hair (which is short and always easy to cut and care for.) Seemed kind of odd. I expect that a stylist will have some ideas of her own as well as giving feedback on my ideas. This just didn't happen. Other times, I got someone whose skill wasn't very good - uneven sides, didn't handle well. To their credit, the salon is willing to do a re-do for free, but if the stylist wasn't so good in the first place this doesn't turn out to be a good deal.
