My husband and I are longtime clients and have always been very satisfied with the services we received. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff always go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Also we love Susan's flair for decorating. more

The haircuts are good and the prices are reasonable. The hairdressers all seem to stay for quite a long time, so you aren't constantly trying to find a new one. The hours are convenient so I can get a cut any night after work. I trust enough of the different hairdressers that I don't need to always concern myself as to when my usual hairdresser is there. They could use a better magazine selection and they don't carry the hair product that I prefer (or anything similar), but these are quite minor complaints. more

First the positive - Shear Madness is a friendly and lively place. They do color really well and their prices ($37 for a cut and blow dry) are pretty standard for the area, in my opinion. On the downside, the quality of work isn't very consistent. Due to various circumstances on the part of the stylists, I've had to change stylists a lot. Recently I got a very uninspired cut - the stylist just didn't know what to do with my hair (which is short and always easy to cut and care for.) Seemed kind of odd. I expect that a stylist will have some ideas of her own as well as giving feedback on my ideas. This just didn't happen. Other times, I got someone whose skill wasn't very good - uneven sides, didn't handle well. To their credit, the salon is willing to do a re-do for free, but if the stylist wasn't so good in the first place this doesn't turn out to be a good deal. more

This is a full service salon. They offer the usual hair cutting services as well as nail services, waxing, make-up, facials. The stylists who work here are so friendly. They make you feel very comfortable. They do a great job. I have been here a number of times for hair, manicures, pedicures and on my wedding day! Prices are a bit high but you get a great quality hair cut. more

A great place to go if you don't mind paying high prices for a basic hair cut. Their stylists are great in creating the perfect look for you, and will work with you to cut your hair in a way that works for your lifestyle. They are a full salon offering manicures, pedicures, facials, makeup, hair coloring, perming, cutting. They also have a great selection of products to purchase. Appointments book up quick, but you can often squeeze in within a day or two. more
