NEVER shop at Computer Stop!! My husband and I, along with our adult son, who assembles and tests our family PCs, went to Computer Stop on Aurora to get parts for a new PC. We spent over $1600.00 on assorted parts and a new monitor etc. This was not our first visit, over the past 10-12 years we have spent many thousands of dollars there as we've built a number of computers over the years, not counting this last time, repeat last time. Once the assembly began our son, Microsoft certified and employed, Lake Washington Voch Tech educated and working in the computer industry for the past 12 years, discovered a bent pin on the motherboard CPU socket and halted the work, packed up the board and we returned to get a replacement that was unbent. So, it sure is fun when the goods go out the door,.... huh fellas? They were all standing around beaming over a $1600+ sale on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Not so wonderful if you are actually expected to honor your own printed terms on the bottom of the invoice is it?? We were a full day within the 7 day terms for exchange or return, we told the truth as to our issue and lo and behold they treated us like shit. The manager accused us of bending the pin -- ever try and bend 1 pin? They refused any accommodation at all. Why on earth would we attempt to return only one item, out of 14 components bought that day? Why, if we were scamming them, wouldn't we return the most expensive item? We would have even accepted the 15% re-stocking fee, however, no way they would work with us. We weren't asking for money back, just an exchange of the defective item for an undamaged item (motherboard). Never go there for a fair business exchange, use the internet where at least you know from ratings if the seller is a shithead or not.
