Review content:
FIrst of all, be aware that I wouldn't have even given this place one star if it hadn't been required to post a comment. Don't be fooled by the beautiful REAL beach picture that is on the home page for Sun Valley Beach. In reality, all this place is is a giant FILTHY pool with sand around it that is filled with chipped concrete pieces. It should not be legal to post a misleading picture on the webpage. Clearly, I am aware that Powder Springs, GA is not a coastal city, so I am smart enough to realize that picture was not a true and acurate representation of Sun Valley, but it is such a far stretch from the way the place actually exists that it seems a desperate attempt on the part of the owners to draw people into their money trap. The owners are rude and clearly do not care about their property nor their patrons. The place is completely run down, dirty, and in disrepair to the point of being dangerous....and be warned....once you have entered the trap after paying their inflated admission prices, you absolutely will not get your money back even though swimming in the water could cause personal injury or illness. The owner told us that, "When we own OUR own business, WE can run it however WE want." On my visit, this past Saturday, there was trash in the pool, including cigarette butts and used BandAids (which I know were not just from that day because I was there right after they opened). The surface of the pool is so cracked and chipped that you can feel sharp edges with your feet. There are broken stairs to the water slides which pose serious dangers to patrons (particularly children). This place should be shut down or at the very least, the owners should be forced to clean the place up. I will never visit there again, and I will continue to spread news of my horrible experience there to anyone and everyone I can. Save your money and save your children from disappointment by staying as far from this place as possible.
