The first wonderful experience placed in front of me, was the Minnesota Martini, a delicious classic kissed with a hint of orange. As I enjoyed the martini it quickly became clear I had not entered a classic Manhattan eatery but an elevator, the music felt more like a jazzy adult film but it was a minor inconvenience that hopefully management fixes, it also did not detract from the overall warm wood tones of the restaurant. At this time I ordered the Ahi Tuna and the Pork Tenderloin, from my very polite server Aaron. The Ahi Tuna appetizer arrived, the plate was beautiful full of color and the smell was wonderful. At the first look you could tell this Ahi was perfectly cooked, the seasoning was wonderful as well. Only downside might have been the overabundance of fixings to distract my appetite from the tuna, but each filled a different taste. The pork was next. First impression the plate was well dressed and the sauce covered a delicate balance of onion chips and mashed potatoes. The french beans covered the side and added a dash of color. The smell was wonderful, and I knew I would be in for a treat. The pork was perfectly cooked and very tender, the onion chips provided the bit of crunch the plate needed. It was after the second bite I realized there was a sauce, (as a brief side note I love big flavors in sauces) the sauce lacked flavor, it seemed like an after thought rather then a compliment. It did add moisture and with a bit of salt it would have added some flavor. Overall the tenderloin was great and I would be happy to order it again. Manhatttans has a great combination of service, food and some great looking martini's, I will be back. Pros: Martin's, food, comfortable atmosphere, and friendly service Cons: Music, sauce seasonings
