Last month my condo was flooded due to a faulty washing machine in my neighbour's home. I contacted Avi at ProSkill because of his reviews on Angie's List. Everything seemed to be fine, he gave me my free estimate of $3800, I wrote him a check for $2000 (that was the amount he requested) and came back the next week and did 2-3 hours work. He said he would be back the next day.
He didn't show. I called and left a message. He didn't call back. I called the next day and left a message. He didn't call back. This went on all week. Saturday night I called him from a different phone (so that the number would be different on his Caller ID), he answered and said that he was sorry but his truck overheated and that he would be at my house Sunday morning. He wasn't. I called and left a message. Monday I called him from the other phone again, he answered and said he would be at my house Tuesday morning (this morning) 10AM. He isn't here. He isn't answering his phone.
So, as of right now he's stolen $2000 from me and has done next to no work. Now I am left to write this bad review on Angie's List, I'm filing a complaint with my bank, another complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Office of Consumer Affairs, the State Attorney's Office, and anyone else I can think of. I am very unhappy and very upset. At no point could I, in good conscience, recommend this company or Avi. Do not let them in your home.
