If you like wine or are interested in knowing more about wine, and can make it up to Atwell’s Ave. (and if you have a car you can–Gasparo’s has its own parking lot) you must go to Gasparo’s. They have one of, if not the, best collection of Italian wines in the country, and a great selection of wines and liquors from all over the United States. The staff is helpful and down to earth. Without any condescension or pretentious wine-talk, they will get you a bottle or a case, that meets your needs and is within your price range. Worth the trip, even if you’re not from Providence.
