Review content:
I had a terrible experience buying my first new car at this dealer! Looking back, I absolutely should have walked out, but I was young, I'm a girl and I did everything you're not supposed to do when your buying a car. But here are the highlights of my bad experience after I decided to buy:
-- When I was negotiating the price of the car, they NEVER told me how much the actual car was. I made the mistake of letting them know I was financing and that I had a trade-in, so all they would tell me were my "payments"
-- Once we agreed on the "monthly payments" (a long process in and of itself), when I got back to the finance office the price went up $30 a month! Like I said, today I would have walked out but it was a bad time for me not to have a working car. At my shock of the price difference, he said to me "You're not going to let a measly $30 get in the way are you?"
-- Which leads me to my other point. They were TOTALLY rude the whole time. Earlier in the day when I said I wanted to come back with my boyfriend (who didn't actually help at all) the finance manager said "What, you can't do it by yourself? You need you boyfriend to help you buy a car?" Really manipulative and condescending. I hate salesmen that pull that kind of junk.
-- Finally, once I bought the car I came in the next day to finish the paperwork. They couldn't get my credit union on the phone while I was there, so they proceeded to make me wait. I waited for a good hour and a half before I became livid and a little hysterical, until finally I just left.
Once I got a hold of my credit union officer, she said she has never heard of a car dealership acting that way.
So that was my horrible experience. It still makes me mad to think of it and it was over 3 years ago. I had some maintenance work done there and the servicemen were actually pretty nice. But the salespeople were terrible so I would avoid this dealership like the plague!
P.S. I got nothing for my trade-in
Cons: Sales Manager was a manipulative liar
