My son participated in the school programs, the evening round robins and Saturday tournaments. He loved the challenge of chess, learning how to think through his moves while anticipating his opponents moves. Particiapting in chess tournaments taught him how to concentrate and stay focused which paid off later in High School. He had fun, made friends and learned good sportsmanship.
