Really hit or miss as far as availability of selection, but certain things can't be beat at Old Navy. For example, this season their cute fleece separates (zip-neck pullover and pants) were a great deal at around $10 per piece. Some of the clothes for little girls are a little trashy looking (e.g., belly shirts, sassy emblems silkscreened on the front of shirts, hip-hugger pants), but others are very age-appropriate and cute. The quality is pretty good for the price. The downside of the store is that they're dirty, and the merchandise is crammed so tightly on the racks that it's hard to browse through and find sizes. The upside of the shopping experience is that I personally (though some may disagree!) really enjoy the music that they play (often campy stuff like old disco or retro/lounge). I've lingered in the store only because of the music! I find it's a good, low-priced alternative to Gap Kids and Gymboree. When my daughter was a baby, I really liked their infant wear selection (though this was five years ago). I don't always end up finding something there, but every once in a while I hit the jackpot. It's worth it to keep an eye out for their Sunday circulars in the newspaper to see what specials are being run. As far as staff goes, the cashiers are usually friendly, but I don't ever expect to get much help on the sales floor.
