Review content:
So you see images of niagara falls all the time and they look grand and spectacular. Well, they sort of are, but from the American side looking over at the Niagara Falls, the view is okay, but not the best. You see the Falls from a sideways angle so you don't get a full view of it. The best way to get a good view is to go to the Canadian side, where you see much more and get a much nicer view. There's also more touristy things on the Canadian side.
You can also take a ferry (the Maid of the Mist) on both sides which will take you very close to the Falls. You'll get a poncho or otherwise you'll be drenched.
During the summers, there's a fireworks display that takes place very frequently. The Falls are lit up and the display lasts for about 20 minutes. They're actually very nice and also very neat to see take place above the Falls (especially on the Canadian side).
Overall, it is a nice place to visit, but don't set your expectations too high. And if you are able, do go to the Canadian side where the view and surrounding areas are much better.
