I had to go to Mayo Thursday and Friday for a procedure and wanted a place within walking distance of the Gonda Building at the Mayo Clinic. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but am glad I chose it. At $109 for a mini-suite with two double beds, it was cheaper than some of the other options. The hotel is clean and while not stylish, is certainly presentable. The room had a sofa, chair, kitchen table, sink and cupboards, dishes, microwave and small refrigerator/freezer, and two double beds. I brought food and snacks, so was glad to have the fridge and microwave and a place to wash dishes. The room was pretty, the hotel was quiet and I have no complaints about the stay. They are fixing the elevators that are really slow. As other reviewers noted, the parking garage is narrow, but it's an inconvenience that lasts minutes and then you're up in the hotel. Plus, parking is free. I loved being able to walk the block to the Mayo Clinic building I had to go to (the Gonda Building) and in bad weather you can go underground. The staff was friendly and the place was country charm decorated.
