Review content:
"My spouse and I stayed for 3 nights to attend a conference. I changed the reservations from the conference hotel ( Doubletree ) because of value and a short budget. Kahler Inn and Suites provided a continental breakfast and 15$ less per night. For a 3 block walk, it was worth it.
The inn and Suites is on the outer fringe of the Mayo campus and is connected to the other building thru a underground walkway which they call a 'subway'. It was nice to have the option in bad weather. The staff was courteous, the housekeeping was good quality. Their 'fitness and pool' area was minimal, but clean.
Their sister site - the Kahler Grand Hotel - is definitely higher class as far as the lobby, stores, and personnel; however, a fellow attendee did confirm that their budget rooms are miniscule. The Inn and Suites rooms aren't much bigger, but every sf counts. I was able to utilize the Grand's business center as a Inn and Suite's client since the Inn's computer (which you have to pay for by the way) was down.
After 4 days there, I was glad that I chose Inn and Suites. Doubletree, Grand, and a few others are larger and more modern but to me that isn't worth more of my money when I can get clean and convenient with decent staff for less. Less expensive hotels are available to the Mayo campus if you don't mind shuttles or long walks. "
