Review content:
Take your family. Yes, the kids will love this place. It is not the typical history museum. There is so much to do you could spend several days there. They've got a huge indoor museum with things you won't see anywhere else. You've got to take a look at the Rosa Parks Bus. They also have an enormous village of historic buildings where you could spend several days just here. They have activities constantly, craftspeople blowing glass, making pottery, weaving, farming, etc. They have a great IMAX theater that shows first run studio films and they run the Ford Rouge factory tours. I took the factory tour earlier this year and I was completely impressed. I had never seen the inside of a modern car factory and I had an image of a dark and dirty depressing place. It was clean, modern, and very impressive. Made you want to run out a buy a new Ford! If you're local you should buy a membership--it is the cheapest way to go, otherwise seeing everything can be expensive.
