Good: My installation appointment was scheduled within a 36 hour timeframe and the installer showed up exactly when they said he would, ready to go.. Bad: The cost for the installation ended up being two times what was quoted on the phone.. Improvements: When discussing the installation, it would be better to be up-front with customers about potential additional costs BEFORE the installer arrives. Be realistic! There are some basics - like earthquake strap installation and expansion tank costs, that should be covered in the initial cost estimate.. Other: I was pleased with the professionalism and courtesy shown by the installer, who came on a Sunday morning in spite of having just caught a nasty cold. He thoroughly explained everything that had to be done and what it would cost. He stayed on task and the new water heater is now working up to expectations..
