i have lived in Independence most of my adult life and have shopped Cargo Largo for all of that time. It is true that they do not have the extreme bargains that they did years ago, but they are there to be had.
First you need to have some idea of how much the item that you are buying usually costs- sometimes other stores are the same price or cheaper. Second don't buy anything there that you would want a warranty on because they won't back that stuff up. I would never buy electronics, etc there.
All that being said I have gotten some great deals there. Tools for 50-75% off retail. Hot Topic t-shirts for $1. Sunglasses for $1. Collectible figurines for 50-75% off.
