Cargo Largo deliberately sent me a used, damaged item in an effort to cheat me. I knew what buttons to push, so I eventually received a refund. Cargo Largo is a criminal enterprise. Do NOT believe the five star reviews posted by their employees. more

Sells used item and falsely advertised what they sold me. I had to get Amazon involved to get a refund on a return and it took weeks to get my money back. Avoid this place like the measles. more

Cargo Largo's E-bay descriptions are misleading. They continuously describe items as in working order even though they have not tried the item to see if it works or not. There is a reason they get products that have been refused or returned to legitimate businesses, many times it is because the item does not work at all, sometimes it is only for a cosmetic reason. Cargo Largo assumes all items work and advertises them as such. THIS IS FRAUD!!! They will issue a refund, eventually but shipping costs are your responsibility. Then they record the transaction with E-bay as a cancelled sell so they can keep their customer rating high for the next sucker (oops) I meant customer. There are bargains to be had but do not believe their descriptions at all!!!!!!! more

DO NOT BUY FROM CARGO LARGO!!! The seller reduced the price ten days after my purchase. Seller refuses to match its own price; will only allow return, which requires me to pay shipping costs. Bad Policy! Bad Customer Service! Beware! more

I always go to cargo largo every Sunday and this last sunday was awful. I was being followed around by a lady that looked older and was kinda fat. She also had brown hair. Anyways, she was making me feel very uncomfortable as I was looking in the mess of cards they have in the back by the electronics. She kept watching everything I was doing. I ended up grabbing a pack of cards that were already out of it's box.(if you have been there you should know this happens. It's a huge mess in there.) I then started to walk to a different isle, I was followed. I was feeling very uncomfortable by then so I walk to the other side of the store. I then decided that I didn't want to spend $6.99 on the pack of already opened cards so I left them on a random shelf. As I went to go meet my family in line I was stopped by this rude lady. She questioned me asking "can you tell me where you put the deck of cards?" I was in shock. I was so angry I then started to question her on why she thought I would steal a pack of W.O.W cards. I ended up showing her where I left the cards and where the ripped up box was. She then said to me as I questioned her again on why she would think I would steal and her reasponse was "you were acting weird." I told her I was acting weird because I could tell you were stalking me." she said "well I guess I should make it less obvious next time." I couldn't believe this happend. I will never go back. more

A walk through the brick and mortar brings the reality that this company deals in secondary market junk. They also sell on ebay and rep for various companies wanting to dump their junk on the public. it only takes a few minutes to grasp that these folks are total amateurs who lack the experience to provide the fundamental elements of customer service or product support. Way too much of their junk is called new. Of course folks don't realize what the y are getting into until there is a problem and then there is no factory warranty and even less customer support. If you can find deals on can goods and some selected apparel items you might be safe. Anything else and you are like doing some serious gambling in a game you can not win. more

AVOID CARGO LARGO! Five star reviews from staff are irrelevant. Bought a "new" camera from them, turned out to be a used one with a damaged lens and broken/missing parts. There was all hell to pay to try to get a refund, had to dispute the purchase with my credit card company to get a refund. Only deal with Cargo Largo if you like corrupt companies and love wasting hours trying to get your money back from these liars. I wish I could give zero stars. more

you have set your expectations in a store like this, but I think the description is a bunch of random stuff! the best are probably kitchen/bath, and tools. also, a barcode reader on your phone helps! I have picked out really cheap stuff there that I wasn't out to buy. I actually didn't mind trying some of the food section stuff. also, the weekly auctions in the caves are awesome if you go with some people. more

The store used to be alright back in the R.S.O. days. Now all they sell is garbage at near retail. You wouldn't have to look too hard to find better products at better prices. The people working there are useless and rude now too. Do yourself a favor and don't bother wasting the time a trip here would take. more

They sell used trash but claim that it is new and pristine. They make it difficult to get a refund after you discover that you have been duped. You will find better quality merchandise at a garbage dump. more

If only customers shopped at both the bid sale and the retail store they would see their bargains from beginning to end. I would never purchase food from this place. If you go to their bid sale which is held once a week to the public you will find that its located in a cave off 291 hwy the place is infested with mice..(ever wonder what that discoloration is on the food packaging probably mouse urine) there is no way these mice are not all over that food that they sell at the store. there have been times i was shopping in the furniture department and mice will run across the floor like its no big deal at all. i am not saying don't shop at this place but be careful what you buy and make sure you wash and sanitize EVERYTHING. i used to shop there a lot but can honestly say never again will i shop at this place after everything I've seen. when talking to people who work there i have heard nothing but bad things. they seem to have a huge turn over rate there are always new people. it seems like people are only there for a short time before they are gone. they constantly have job openings sometimes the same openings for several months. doesn't sound like a very good place to work at either. I am being nice by giving it 2 stars i am not sure that place deserves even 1 more

i have lived in Independence most of my adult life and have shopped Cargo Largo for all of that time. It is true that they do not have the extreme bargains that they did years ago, but they are there to be had. First you need to have some idea of how much the item that you are buying usually costs- sometimes other stores are the same price or cheaper. Second don't buy anything there that you would want a warranty on because they won't back that stuff up. I would never buy electronics, etc there. All that being said I have gotten some great deals there. Tools for 50-75% off retail. Hot Topic t-shirts for $1. Sunglasses for $1. Collectible figurines for 50-75% off. Happy bargain hunting! more

I bought a used engraving machine from them on eBay. It was listed as "cosmetic defects, but fully functioning". Upon arrival it was damaged beyond repair. I now have a $1000 paperweight. Warning, do not buy items from them in eBay as you cannot trust their descriptions! more

Cargo Largo, you have to be a bargin hunter that likes to search for your treasure. I was looking at a wedding dress at Davids Bridal for $850.00. I found the same dress but ivory not white for $200.00. So I changed the color of my weeding to ivory/apple instead of white/apple. Hey I was able to pay the hall for my wedding with the money I saved. This place always has great deals. I shop there weekly. There staff is GREAT!! LOVE IT!!! more

I found out this store is in violation for discrimination to senior citizens! They issued 15% off coupons on lunch menus only in CERTAIN schools districts to be given to every child to take home. They said they were targeting “MOMS” only customers. Even though they have one senior discount day a month - a “MOM” with children in these surrounding area schools (not Independence, Mo. where the store is located) can get all the coupons she wants at the school’s office and use discount coupons all the time! more
