Heard is a natural science museum with lots of hands on learning opportunities.
Nature trails to follow through the woods are lots of fun. The museum has all types of animals to view including birds of all types as well as reptiles.
The building itself is a wonderful thing to see - designed by a local architect with lots of natural light to view the exhibits.
Open to the public and memberships are available as well.
In the spring, Heard offers a native plant sale to members as well as the public for a way for the community to learn to use native plants in their yards.
