Dennis Michael Brown sole proprietor of Sagas 'Group' (he himself and him?) talks incessantly. My bill went nearly 50% overbudget. He never gave us any printed bills, just told us what to pay and demanded payment on the spot, got snippy if we didn't pay him (tho our contract says we have 7 days) because once he needed to buy his wife's diabetes meds and another time he needed to buy horse hay He couldn't do basic math (he used 27 sq ft = 1 sq yd) and he didn't even put a rebar schedule into our ICF home. He did extensive engineering in our design but later we found out he's not qualified to have done that and then he wanted us to pay twice for engineering since we'd already paid him now we had to pay a licensed engineer to review his work for even more money. He 'forgot' his architect stamp and wouldn't stamp our plans even though we paid him in full. He told us he could do materials take offs for us but when he gave us the info that he said took him 13 hours (for our 1500 sq ft home) we found out is had no materials break down at all. Just a bunch of dollar figures. he didn't know our finishes so don't know how he quoted prices (that's why we wanted materials list so we could go out and get prices) When we asked him to explain he refused other than giving us $750 for carpeting (high quality including labor he told us) for 3 bedrooms and closets. He also said we had 20 yards total in those rooms and chastized us for him having to explain this minutia to us. well, we have two 9x10 bedrooms and one 11x15 bedroom, so I get 38 sq yards without closets, so I never could figure out his superior math skills
