Cakes By Linda was the biggest disappointment of my whole wedding. I chose orange champagne with raspberry filling for my cake but it tasted like lemon cake with strawberry on our special day. During the cake cutting ceremony, I had to push down w/my whole body to cut the cake, and then had difficulty trying to get a piece on my fork to feed my husband. I looked around the room to see if any one was enjoying the cake and saw that even the kids only took a bit or two. Two days later I contacted Linda to let her know my disappointment and her reply was "I spoke to the server at the venue and he said the cake was "fine, like all of your cakes"". I was shocked when she mentioned this, being that a server at the venue would not know my disappointment in the cake due to the fact they did not taste the cake and did not even ask how the cake was. She felt that this reason was valid enough that she did not want to do anything about my dissatisfaction with her product. Her professionalism was horrible, her personality was sour, and her product was a disappointment. A few comments from my guest were; “She should not be recommended if she can't deliver a product that was promised.” “Very disappointing cake considering all the hype, and how expensive it is.” “Been to plenty of weddings and seen plenty of cakes but that cake was the WORST cake I've seen and tasted.” “It was even more of a disappointment to hear later that the cake was not at all what was ordered.” “The cake at the wedding did taste as though it had been frozen, it was not in least bit moist and it certainly did not taste fresh.” “It was dry and it didn't taste like a good cake should taste.” “The cake was definitely dry and crumbly.” This is not the first time she has done this. A client of my husband said she bought a cake from Linda and was in a similar situation. more
