Who doesn't LOVE this place? It's a Manitowoc Classic!
But I've never called it "Beerntsen Confectionary" - actually, it's always been Burn-steens. What's up with that? My whole life it's been mispronounced by everyone that I know . . . . .
Maybe a Manitowoc colloquialism? Well, it doesn't matter WHAT you call it - just go there and have fun!
Beerntsen's has candy, chocolates and any sweet treat you need to satisfy that craving!
The first thing that you'll notice is the great old fashion display cases featuring home made candies (and imports too!)
The chocolates are divine! Make sure you try some of the orange peels - my FAVORITE!
And if you are in the mood for some creamy sweet treats - get a booth and order some dessert.
Everything here is fun! And sweet and tasty! :o)
This place is like going back in time. It could be to your early childhood or just an escape from your life. Ahhhhh, what a nice way to spend an hour of your time.
