I love El Chico's its one of my favorite tex-mex restaurants to eat at.
I went here on my birthday and had an exceptional server. He was very attentive to our needs. I was pregnant so I was being very picky and choosy and he was so understanding cause his wife was pregnant too. He waited while I changed my mind a million times.
He made sure our order was right, we had enough chips and salsa and our drinks were refilled, he even talked about the baby with me telling us that he was working two jobs, in school, trying to make a better life for him and his wife. (Whether or not the story was true, it touched me)
I've never seen this place dirty or have dirty dishes on the table cause as soon as the customers leave the bus boy is on it. :) Its always nice walking into a restaurant without seeing plates all over the tables.
To me when you server will get on the same page with you its exceptional service. Because he had given me such great service I paid with a 50.00 and left him the change. That was way over a 15% tip but I felt he could use the money more than me at the time. Hopefully he was able to do something good with it.
