The food was very good, although the variety is limited. But I place quality above variety anyway. This is definitely a mom and pop joint.
But the Pop said something sexist as we were leaving after lunch. As my wife prepared to pay (which he seemed to think was odd), me being the man and all, he smirked and said to her "He will do the cooking tonight, heh, heh". When I challenged him on what he meant by that, he said "Oh, because the food that you ate now won't last till dinner, you know". What a backtrack! As if it took a genius to figure out that lunch doesn't imply you will never feel hungry again. The point of course, is why did he have to say it was me in particular who will do the cooking. I get it. In a family where a woman pays (the man's role, the man is so unmasculine, he might as well be cooking (the woman's role). Just so you know, Sir, I am the one cooking dinner tonight, just like you predicted.
