Great Repair for Women 11/2/2007

I take my mom's old Chevrolet to these people, and they help me keep it in pristine shape. They charge about the same as any other dealer or non-dealer repair I've found, give a good guarantee, repeat-customer discounts, and the parts are Chevrolet (or they can get cheaper parts covered by the same year-long warranty). They explain everything, and even take you out and show you if you like. The waiting room is comfortable (for a repair place) and they have good magazines. They'll offer a trip home and back if you live in North Seattle. By contrast, the other big Chevrolet and used car dealer in North Seattle, Bill Pierre, has become soulless and huge. I must agree the Olson sales floor people are a little bit silly, and the Kia drive train guarantee that sounds so great doesn't cover the clutch. (I overheard someone's mother getting repairs to a new Kia someone thought they were doing her a favor by buying for her, and the repairs were over $1,000.) But I really like the Chevrolet repair service. Make an appointment and be pleasant (typical advice for Seattle), and they'll really help you out. more
