The Gentlelase is not painful like those IPL light machines. The first time you have a treatment, you flench here and there, but it's not that bad. On the second and third treatment, it is even better. I didn't think anything of the zapping on my legs, but could have used a twig to bite for the bikini line. That is a more sensitive area.
