I loved GE for years. They were great for coupons and B1G1Free sales, though their regular prices are outrageous. The checkout clerks were friendly - unheard of at Meijer and Wal-Mart. They were the first to offer a decent natural foods and organic foods section. But in recent months, they have joined the "regulation" bandwagon and have come up with various rules on coupon usage that have no real purpose. Last visit, the clerk had to have a manager "review" and discuss half my coupons (all of which were used in the end), and added 20 minutes on to my checkout time. At Kroger, they fly through, and if it doesn't scan, they read it in under a minute and give me the benefit of the doubt every time. So, now I'm down to one source for regular groceries. Probably a good thing. more
