A Small Japanese Cultural Store with Hidden Treasures 10/4/2007

This is the store you want to go to if you don't want to beat the LA traffic to Little Tokyo. They have lots of useful Japanese kitchenware and household items like bento boxes to store my lunch and tea sets. They a small section that houses CDs of Japanese artists like Ayumi Hamasaki and Utada Kiraku as well as some anime and manga. I discovered that they have $4 paper lanterns. Now I don't have to drive to all the way to Urban Outfitters to get one. I bought three cute kitty bean bag plushes. They are so kawaii (cute in Japanese)! There are lots of pottery/porecelain pieces like Maneki Nekos (Lucky Cats). I had a hard time looking for one that resembled the original calico cat. There are lots of gold and black ones though. The salespeople are quiet, but friendly. more
