Ben Franklin on 8th Street in Traverse City is one of the last of the locally owned craft stores. I love this store because it has so much great stuff. Whether I'm looking for yarn to make an afghan, cookie cutters to bake cookies, craft projects to do with my son or just a few office supplies, they have such a great selection. Their staff is always out on the floor. As a matter-of-fact, I don't know that I've ever gone there and not been greeted at the door as I came in. They are very helpful and friendly. The store has drive up parking in the front or a shared lot in the back so you never have to worry about finding a parking spot.
