Catalina state park is a beautiful place to visit. There are several trails for all levels of hiking difficulty. One of my favorite memories is hiking up to the waterfalls. What a gorgeous sight! We have had family picnics too. I enjoy the trails into the mountains more than the picnic areas. You move more out of the desert landscape and into the mountains. Good place for cub scout hikes and nature walks.
