Great primitive camping as well as park 7/24/2005

If you're ready to really rough it you can go camping up on Crowders Mountain with no electricity. They have "pit" toilets and water nearby but not on the campsite. Oh, it's tent camping only. And you have to hike to the campsite. The park has a man made lake and you can rent canoes to take out for fishing. Swimming is not allowed. They also allow rock climbing if you have a valid permit. Don't even try without permit. You can picnic and grill in the park. And there's also hiking and nature trails. The things that require pricing I think are great deals. It's only nine dollars to camp. That's really cheap compared to other places. more
