My brakes suddenly went out on me so I carefully dropped my car off at Kubias Service Center on a Tuesday afternoon. They had all day Wednesday to fix the problem but couldn't find any leaks so I agreed to let them replace the master cylinder. I picked the car up Wednesday afternoon after they claimed it had been fixed and test driven but I could press the brake pedal all the way to the floor with little resistance. The brakes barely stopped my car so I returned it Thursday morning. By Thursday afternoon they claimed it had been fixed and test driven again so this time I sat in the parking lot and tested the brakes. I was shocked to discover that my brake pedal still went to the floor with no resistance and I was amazed when I opened the hood to discover brake fluid leaking profusely around the master cylinder. I was furious and had two mechanics come out and look at it. I even had one of them try to brakes himself and he was also shocked. They were not able to correctly install a master cylinder and bleed the brakes until Saturday! It took them 4 days to do a 4 hour job! Only one mechanic apologized and the receptionist at the front desk acted like I was an inconvenience to her! I could understand it if they installed a faulty master cylinder the first time but if they had actually test driven the car they would have discovered the problem. I will never give another penny to Kubias'. They are not concerned about their customer's satisfaction or safety. I am not sure if their mechanics are ASE certified or not but the ones who worked on my car are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
