Palazzio 4/6/2006

Palazzio is a rather busy restaurant, popular with the locals and the students at the nearby schools and universities of Santa Barbara. The main draw of the place is the huge portion size of the entrees (a full size of pasta can feed four) and the fresh garlic rolls that come out every 10 minutes. The service at Palazzio is okay, each table does not get its own server, rather they all work as a team. They also have a "honor system" with their house wines, which are in glass wine wells on the side of the restaurant. A major complaint of the place is the overuse of garlic, it simply overpowers the food at times. Also, last time I went their with my friends, we ordered a Brie and Chicken Pasta, which we felt should of been called Tomatoes, Garlic, and Chicken Pasta as we had to go "Brie-hunting" for the little treasured morsels of cheese. more
