I have been in there eating great seafood when I would see people scarfing down one raw oyster after another.. It has the best air about it and the greatest and fastest shuckers in Mobile.. One guy they say has been there for about 40 years...
Every year the America Junior Miss contestants go in there to see who will eat the raw oysters and who won't, as it turns out many like them.. Must be something really great , cause there is never an empty seat at the oyster bar... The original owner started putting some of the funniest words and quotes you every want to read.. there must be thousands, no one can even put a dent in them in one day, but it sure is fun to try while you are eating... go by nd check them out.. cool place...
