Monroe Free Library: read any good books, lately 11/17/2005

The Monroe Free Library (MFL) is a valuable resource in this growing, bustling community. Housed in a too small building on Millpond Parkway in the village, it accommodates all requests with patience and a smile. This Library staff is simply the best--they go out of their way to help you find what you need. School children rely upon them for research and pre-school Moms flock to the building for story time. A buzz of activity, especially on weekends. MFL also hosts a broad range of trips to fascinating spots like the Culinary Institute of America, Newport, RI, cruises, Radio City and the Philadelphia Flower Show. They also offer a wide range of special interest classes (computer, cooking, crafts) and, book discussions which are quite popular--check their monthly calendar or the local weekly paper. Heard of a book that you'd like to read. Go on-line and request it. When MFL receives your book through the extensive RCLS system, you'll be notified by e-mail or telephone to pick it up. You can also borrow tapes or DVDs, magazines, and CDs here. This is a very special community library. Open seven days a week. more
