19 Main Luncheonette is a legend in its own time. A throwback from the past where folks met, talked and ate together. Not much has changed in this small town luncheonette tucked on a corner in "downtown" Chester.
Everyday, specials are posted on a wipe-off board and it's fun to watch what gets eaten first! The luncheonette has breakfast (legendary pancakes), soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, hot meals and desserts. Thursday is meatloaf day and it's not uncommon for the special to sell out before lunch! Everything is homemade and tasty. The desserts (pies, cakes, puddings) are just delicious and a treat after lunch. I always try and order my dessert WITH my lunch before it sells out. My favorite is chocolate cream pie.
Takeout is also available and this place does a brisk business. Sit at the counter or one of the many tables and be ready with your order when your waitress arrives!
