I wanted to go just to get chocolate to take back home, but occurred to me that Ghirardelli is now available in most grocery stores now. We went anyways, and treated ourselves to some of the best sundaes ever. Not cheap, mind you, at $6.95 each (you can request a single scoop sundae for $4.95- great for kids) The service was great, and there was no wait to get a seat (we went at about 7pm). My daughter thought the original chocolate making machines were interesting, and learned a little bit about the process of how chocolate is made.
