This is another favorite of mine store in Hornell, NY.
Valu Center is a privately owned "do-it-yourself" store. There are only 38 stores all located in Western & Central NY and Northwestern PA.
Don't let this scare you- They are very competitive with the bigger chain stores with a much more personal touch! This is always the first place I go to to look for any hardware or outdoor needs.
They sell a wide range of items- from outdoor tools (rakes, shovels, leaf blowers) to paint, to lighting, to doors and bathroom items.
The prices are great.. the workers are very helpful and friendly, the atmosphere is great! I have never been pushed to buy more here as you sometimes are in the larger chains! I have even had to return a few things and the process was quite easy.
You can order online if you aren't located in any of the areas of the brick and mortar stores. Prices are a bit higher online I have noticed.
They just had a big sale on garbage bags--- the big ones for outdoor leaf pickups.
