I recently had major surgery on my back, so I have not felt like cooking at all! My son and I were out the other day and noticed a small cafe that we had not seen before, called Poor Boys. We decided to check it out. It is a very quaint little place, full of small town charm! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly. We found a small booth in the corner, where we were immediately greeted by our server, who brought a childs menu and crayons for my young son. She immediately took our drink orders and got them right out to us. The only thing I didn't like was that the menu was very limited. There were only about five or six dinner options, mainly consisting of hamburgers. I ordered a cheesburger, and my son ordered the childs chicken strip meal. Well, when our food was brought to us, I knew I was glad we had chosen this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious! It was like having a home cooked meal. My son's dinner came with wonderful gravy, and was so tasty! We really enjoyed our dinners.
The best part of this experience was the staff. Our server was so, very friendly. She and I had a very nice conversation, and I just really felt at home here. It was really a nice experience.
Basically, the menu is limited, but if you're in the mood for a delicious home cooked burger, this is the place to go! Great service, wonderful prices, and awesome food! A great place to have coffee with the adults, or dinner with the kids!
